Description

Model 30 Swivel Casters Polyurethane on Iron Wheels with Heavy Duty enhancement is built with zinc plated metal frames. This swivel caster is protected against rust, includes lubricated fittings, wider wheels, wheel bearings, and a larger swivel than the G15 Model. Add Ons available for this swivel caster is a face contact wheel brake and a swivel lock.

The PYH – Extra Thick Heavy Duty Polyurethane on Iron Core Wheel for the Plate Caster Model 30 is a heavy duty industrial caster wheel designed to carry higher load capacities than standard polyurethane wheels in its size thanks to its extra thick ¾” polyurethane tire bonded to a heavy iron center. Available in diameters from 6” to 12” with tread widths of 3” or 4” this wheel supports up to 5000 lbs for 12” x 3” 4000 lbs for 10” x 3” 4000 lbs for 8” x 3” and 3000 lbs for 6” x 3” with a Shore D 60 durometer tire operating from -40°F to 180°F. It comes standard with tapered roller bearings but can also have roller bearings or precision sealed ball bearings for smooth towing of heavy loads in settings like steel mills or power plants.

The PYH – Extra Thick Heavy Duty Polyurethane on Iron Core Wheel’s extra thick tire and harder durometer make it excellent for supporting heavy static loads and taking more abuse than standard polyurethane wheels in its size perfect for heavy carts or machinery in industries like chemical plants or mining operations. Its heavy iron center ensures a longer life while the variety of bearing options lets you pick the best performance for your application though the tire’s chemical bond can weaken from overloading heavy impacts or heat from continuous use. Paired with the Model 30’s zinc-plated steel frame this heavy duty kingpinless caster is a top choice among industrial casters and wheels for heavy duty plate caster applications needing durability and reliable performance in dry conditions like oil rigs or logistics hubs.

*This Plate Caster Model 30 contains Polyurethane on Iron Wheels with Heavy Duty and is displayed with the 10″ x 3″ wheel.

Polyurethane on Iron Caster Wheel from Caster City

Caster City’s PYH Industrial Caster Wheel is engineered for heavy-duty applications, featuring an extra thick ¾” polyurethane tire bonded to a robust cast iron core for superior load capacity and extended lifespan. Available in diameters from 6” to 12” and tread widths of 3” or 4”, the PYH wheel is designed to handle higher load ratings and more demanding conditions than standard polyurethane wheels of its size. Its Shore D 60 (+/- 5) durometer provides a harder tread, making it particularly suitable for supporting static loads while resisting flat spotting, provided the load does not exceed 70% of the wheel’s rated capacity in static applications.

The PYH wheel’s green polyurethane tire, combined with its heavy iron center, ensures durability and the ability to withstand arduous industrial environments. It offers a variety of bearing options, with tapered roller bearings as standard, and sealed precision ball bearings or roller bearings also available to optimize performance across different applications. The thicker tire enhances the wheel’s capacity to carry heavy loads and endure more abuse than comparable polyurethane wheels, making it an excellent choice for manufacturing, warehousing, or other high-demand settings where reliability is critical.

With a temperature range of -40°F to 180°F, the PYH Industrial Caster Wheel is built to perform in diverse conditions while maintaining its structural integrity. The harder durometer and extra thick tire design provide exceptional support for static loads, ensuring stability and longevity. For heavy-duty applications requiring a balance of high capacity, durability, and performance, the PYH wheel stands out as a top solution. Contact Caster City for custom configurations to meet your specific industrial needs with this versatile, high-performance caster wheel.
