
Powder coating and media blasting shortens the life span of most casters. These special casters were designed for powder coating operations to increase the lifespan of the caster. Media blasting, such as with aluminum oxide, will not prematurely ruin the swivel bearing or the bronze bearing in the wheel.
Jamming : The one-piece design of bronze bearings is particularly advantageous in applications like powder coating, media blasting, or painting where airborne particles are common. This casters design prevents stone dust and particulate matter from entering and potentially jamming the bearing, enhancing operational reliability, reducing maintenance needs, and minimizing downtime in particle-rich environments.
High-temperature lubrication is recommended to ensure smooth operation and longevity of the bearing in the 2-inch wide ductile steel wheel, which also features lubrication fittings in the hub for easy maintenance in extreme environments.

You should never select on the basis of load capacity alone. There is no industry standard for load capacity ratings and they may not include a factor for abuse. Our capacity ratings are below what the casters are capable of carrying because most applications have less than perfect conditions. Please refer to the information shown at the bottom of this page.
