Metal Socket for use with a Grip Neck Stem

The length of your stem may be shorter but not longer.

Commonly called a “Caster Clip”, this socket is designed to install casters on the edge of 3/4″ Particle Board, MDF or similar sheet goods. Attach caster by drilling a 3/8″ x 1 5/8″ hole. Install socket, then insert caster. You may want to “drill & tack nail” the bottom face or add some silicon sealer to the hole when installing.

Metal Socket for use with a Grip Ring Stem

Grip Ring Stem: 7/16″ x 7/8″

The length of your stem my be shorter but not longer.

This socket is used to install casters with a 7/16″ Diameter Grip Ring Stem on WOOD or Steel furniture. The Tack Plate Diameter is approx 1″ and the overall length is 1.46″

To attach in wood, drill a 5/8″ x 1 1/2″ hole. Apply Epoxy Glue** ( Not supplied ) to socket and insert into hole. Allow to harden before inserting caster into socket. ( This socket is not plated and can also be welded to steel.

This socket is used to install casters with a 7/16″ Diameter Grip Ring Stem on WOOD furniture. Attach to inside of frame with wood screws ( Not supplied ). Insert caster into socket.

You should never select on the basis of load capacity alone. There is no industry standard for load capacity ratings and they may not include a factor for abuse. Our capacity ratings are below what the casters are capable of carrying because most applications have less than perfect conditions. Please refer to the information shown at the bottom of this page.
