3″ Phenolic Wheel – Stainless Steel 3

3″ Phenolic. Shown in photo with 5″ wheels. The Stainless Steel Rigid Caster Model 3 is formed from stamped 304 stainless steel legs that are welded horizontally to the mounting plate.  This rigid stem caster is capable of up to 300 lbs with the proper wheel chosen. The diameter axle is ⅜” and has a bolt with lock nut.  Other lube axle bolt is available with a grease fitting in the bolt head for greasing the wheel.   This stem caster is purchased when direct line travel is necessary over elongated distances.  When moving huge cargo or extreme weighted loads, choose the biggest practical wheel diameter.  High polish (mirror) finish is available upon request.  This rigid caster is NSF and ROHS compliant. The mounting plate for the Stainless Steel Caster Model 3 is 2 3/8” x 3 5/8” and the hole pattern is slotted to: 1 3/4”  x 2 7/8” – 3” and is built to use a mounting bolt size of 5/16”.

Caster City Phenolic wheels are a hard composition caster wheel which are non-marking in nature, making them excellent for supporting heavy stationary loads for long periods of time. Phenolic can not develop a flat spot if left parked for a long period under load, and the wheel is capable of withstanding shock loads and the impacts of small obstructions. Phenolic is not a good choice if your application exposes the wheel to excessive water, oil, and other chemicals – phenolic can slowly absorb this over time and fail. Phenolic caster wheels come standard with a roller bearing and have precision sealed ball bearings as an option. This wheel comes in diameters ranging from 3” to 18” and the width of the wheels ranges from 1-¼” to 4”.
