Description
Stem Caster Model 3 is made from stamped steel frames with a zinc plating to resist corrosion. The swivel stem caster brackets have two rows of balls rotating on hardened swivel raceways. This stem caster uses a 3/8” axle and the caster’s swivel raceways are held together by a 1/2” diameter rivet. This stem caster is completed with a dust cover to guard the swivel bearing. Institutional stem casters with stem diameters of this size are not intended to hold more than 1,000 lbs on four of them.
Phenolic caster wheels make an excellent, low cost choice for supporting high standing loads that move infrequently. This caster wheel can handle the impacts of small obstructions and shock loads, as well as being unable to develop flat spots if left immobile with a high static load. Phenolic can absorb water and other chemicals if excessive exposure occurs. Phenolic caster wheels come standard with a roller bearing and have precision sealed ball bearings as an option. This caster wheel comes in diameters that range from 3” to 18” and the width of the wheels ranges from 1-¼” to 4”.
