4″ – Welded Disc Polyurethane Wheel. Shown in photo with 5″ wheels. The Stainless Steel Rigid Caster Model 3 is formed from stamped 304 stainless steel legs that are welded horizontally to the mounting plate.  This rigid stem caster is capable of up to 300 lbs with the proper wheel chosen. The diameter axle is ⅜” and has a bolt with lock nut.  Other lube axle bolt is available with a lubed fitting in the bolt head for lubricating the wheel.   This stem caster is purchased when direct line travel is necessary over elongated distances.  When moving huge cargo or extreme weighted loads, choose the biggest practical wheel diameter.  High polish (mirror) finish is available upon request.  This rigid caster is NSF and ROHS compliant. The mounting plate for the Stainless Steel Caster Model 3 is 2 3/8” x 3 5/8” and the hole pattern is slotted to: 1 3/4”  x 2 7/8” – 3” and is built to use a mounting bolt size of 5/16”.

Welded disc polyurethane wheels are made from 2 stainless steel discs and the polyurethane tire is permanently molded between them. The welded disc caster wheel comes with stainless steel annular ball bearings which are designed roll on a ⅜” diameter axle. The stainless steel welded disc polyurethane wheel is popular in the laboratory industry due to its attractive appearance and ability to withstand harsh washdown conditions. Caster City has designed this wheel to come in either 4” or 5” diameters and the tire is 1-¼” wide. The welded disc polyurethane wheel has a temperature range of -40°F to +180°F and the durometer of the polyurethane is 95A(+/-5).
