Plate Caster Model 9 Rigid Caster is the matching rigid for the Model 9 Swivel Caster. When manually pushing or pulling equipment on 4 swivel casters it can be challenging to control direction. Rigid casters assist in controlling the direction when equipment is moved in a forward or backward line. Equipment with rigids can not move sideways. These casters are usually equipped at the opposite end of the push handle. The legs are 1/4″ thick and the axle is 1/2″ in diameter, compatible with wheels that have a 2 7/16″ hub width. Stamped steel construction allows the rigid caster to carry more weight than the swivel because there is no offset, however both are displayed with the same capacity on our website. Ideal for brewery operations, cold storage facilities, and meat processing plants. Additional plate sizes and wheel bearing types can be ordered on request. This caster can also be supplied in 304 Stainless Steel for washdown or corrosive environments.

This maroon polyurethane on gray polyolefin caster wheel is a premium non-marking wheel engineered for superior abrasion resistance and quieter operation in institutional and light industrial environments. The injection molded polyurethane tire is mechanically bonded to the gray polyolefin center for reliable performance in wet or corrosive conditions. These caster wheels roll easier than gray rubber on smooth floors and resist many chemicals and solvents. The 95A durometer provides effective vibration dampening and quiet rolling. Caster City manufactures this wheel with multiple bearing options: needle roller bearings, precision sealed ball bearings, Delrin bearings. Available in 4″, 5″, 6″, and 8″ diameters with capacities ranging from 500 to 800 lbs per wheel. Temperature range is -20°F to 180°F. Not recommended for heavy standing loads. Ideal for food processing carts, pharmaceutical laboratories, and hospital equipment.
