Model 9 Plate Rigid Caster is the equivalent plate caster for the Model 9 Swivel Casters. When manually moving equipment supported by 4 swivel casters it can be tough to control the direction you are pulling or pushing. Rigid casters assist in controlling equipment being moved in direct line travel. Equipment with both rigid casters can not move sideways. Rigid Casters are usually installed at the opposite end of the push handle. Rigids have 2 legs perpendicular to the mounting plate. Leg thickness is 1/4”. The axle diameter is 1/2” long and is designed to use wheels with a hub width of 2 7/16”. This caster is built from stamped steel. Rigids can carry more weight than swivel casters because they do not have an offset. Other mounting plate sizes and wheel bearing types are available on request.
