Polyurethane on Iron Caster Wheel from Caster City

Caster City’s PYH Industrial Caster Wheel is engineered for heavy-duty applications, featuring an extra thick ¾” polyurethane tire bonded to a robust cast iron core for superior load capacity and extended lifespan. Available in diameters from 6” to 12” and tread widths of 3” or 4”, the PYH wheel is designed to handle higher load ratings and more demanding conditions than standard polyurethane wheels of its size. Its Shore D 60 (+/- 5) durometer provides a harder tread, making it particularly suitable for supporting static loads while resisting flat spotting, provided the load does not exceed 70% of the wheel’s rated capacity in static applications.
The PYH wheel’s green polyurethane tire, combined with its heavy iron center, ensures durability and the ability to withstand arduous industrial environments. It offers a variety of bearing options, with tapered roller bearings as standard, and sealed precision ball bearings or roller bearings also available to optimize performance across different applications. The thicker tire enhances the wheel’s capacity to carry heavy loads and endure more abuse than comparable polyurethane wheels, making it an excellent choice for manufacturing, warehousing, or other high-demand settings where reliability is critical.
With a temperature range of -40°F to 180°F, the PYH Industrial Caster Wheel is built to perform in diverse conditions while maintaining its structural integrity. The harder durometer and extra thick tire design provide exceptional support for static loads, ensuring stability and longevity. For heavy-duty applications requiring a balance of high capacity, durability, and performance, the PYH wheel stands out as a top solution. Contact Caster City for custom configurations to meet your specific industrial needs with this versatile, high-performance caster wheel.
