Stainless steel casters, offered in both plate and stem mounting styles, are built for use in wet, corrosive, or high-temperature environments where durability and cleanliness are critical. These casters are available in both 304 and 316 stainless steel—the former offering strong corrosion resistance for general industrial and food service use, and the latter providing superior protection against harsh chemicals and saltwater, making it ideal for marine and pharmaceutical applications. Designed to handle temperatures up to 450°F when paired with high-temp wheels and raceway seals, these casters perform reliably in extreme heat such as in autoclaves or commercial ovens.
Caster City’s stainless steel casters are built with longevity and performance in mind. Each unit includes a grease fitting in the swivel bearing for easy maintenance, protective seals, and a dust cover to guard internal components from contaminants. Whether you choose 304 for its broad utility or 316 for its maximum corrosion resistance, these casters ensure smooth, low-maintenance mobility in the most demanding conditions.
These industrial pneumatic casters feature air filled pneumatic wheels. These industrial casters are designed for low speed manually moved applications only. Air filled pneumatic wheels provide a cushioned ride, shock absorption and quiet operation. Pneumatic casters are ideally suited for moving fragile or delicate cargo where caster overall height is not critical. Casters with pneumatic wheels are usually the best choice for use outdoors over rough surfaces ( i.e. gravel ) or on grass. The wide footprint on 8″ or larger pneumatic wheels provides stability on gravel and does not sink into lawns.
Pneumatic casters and pneumatic wheels are also popular for indoor use in places such as hospitals, scientific and electronic laboratories, hotels, department stores and TV or movie studios.
Pneumatic wheels with black tires do not mark the floor as long as the wheel is allowed to roll. Changing directions without allowing a swivel caster to turn gradually around, or dragging a black rubber wheel sideways, can mark some floors.
Caster City offers a wide range of office and furniture casters designed for smooth, quiet movement across carpet, tile, and hardwood floors. If you’re upgrading desk chairs, file cabinets, mobile workstations, or anything else your office needs our casters provide durability, ease of movement, and a professional finish that complements any office setup.

Model 30 is an upgrade from the rigid casters shown on Model G15. These Rigid casters have wider wheels, large wheel bearings, a higher load capacity rating, and a bigger mounting plate than the rigid caster that is shown on G15. It features superior performance on both manually moved and mechanically powered equipment. The Model 30 frames are zinc plated for rust resistance. There are grease fittings for the wheel bearings. Rigid casters are usually attached to machinery at the opposite end of the push handle and where swivel casters are attached. This enables the person pushing the equipment to be able to control the direction of travel. It should also be stressed that Rigid casters have 2 legs perpendicular to the mount plate, therefore they can not move sideways. Equipment with 2 rigid casters and 2 swivel casters must be handled into position. For more information and/or help placing an order, please give us a call at 800-501-3808.
The DSC – Ductile Steel Wheel with Slight Crown for the Plate Caster Model 30 is a heavy duty industrial caster wheel designed to handle extreme load capacities in the toughest industrial settings like steel mills power plants or automotive plants with all sizes 6” x 3” 8” x 3” 10” x 3” and 12” x 3” supporting 6000 lbs per wheel with roller bearings and over 7000 lbs with tapered roller bearings though the bracket limits it to 7000 lbs per caster. Made from ductile steel a combination of special alloys often called malleable iron this slight crown tread wheel boasts a 45000 PSI tensile strength shrugging off wear and tear with higher weight capacities than cast iron and being more economical than drop-forged steel. It can handle temperatures from -45°F to 800°F making it great for harsh environments in industries like chemical plants or mining operations.
The DSC – Ductile Steel Wheel with Slight Crown’s slight crown tread design allows it to swivel in place much easier than a flat-tread steel wheel due to the point-contact nature of the tread surface making it ideal for applications needing frequent directional changes like mining hauling ore carts powder coating big metal structures welding tables heavy parts heavy manufacturing oversized gear steel mills molten metal loads construction rough terrain and industrial ovens high-heat racks. Ductile Steel Caster Wheels from Caster City
Caster City’s Ductile Steel Industrial Caster Wheels are designed for heavy-duty applications where loads surpass the capacity of floor-protective wheels or severe service conditions are present. Ideal for industrial and manufacturing settings where floor wear is secondary to the critical tasks performed, these wheels are available in 2”, 3”, and 4” widths and diameters ranging from 4” to 16”. With high ductility and tensile strength, our ductile steel wheels absorb shocks and impacts without failure, ensuring reliable performance in rugged environments. For precise, guided movement, we offer a V-groove design that rolls smoothly on inverted angle iron tracks, providing stable and controlled operation in demanding conditions.
These Ductile Steel Industrial Caster Wheels are built for exceptional durability, featuring either roller bearings or sealed precision ball bearings, with load ratings determined solely by bearing capacity. Each wheel includes a lubrication fitting in the hub for easy maintenance and prolonged service life. Capable of withstanding temperatures up to 400°F depending on the application, these solid steel wheels are well-suited for challenging environments. For continuous temperatures above 400°F, where steel roller bearings and spanner bushings may anneal, consult our engineering team to ensure optimal performance in high-temperature applications.
While Ductile Steel Industrial Caster Wheels excel at handling substantial loads in harsh conditions, they can damage most factory floors under heavy loads. To mitigate this, they are typically used on steel plating, in metal channels, or as V-grooved wheels on angle iron tracks to protect costly flooring. Compared to Gray Iron wheels, our ductile steel wheels offer superior ductility and tensile strength, making them the top choice for environments requiring shock absorption and reliability. Contact Caster City for custom configurations to meet your heavy-duty needs with our durable, high-capacity ductile steel wheels.
