Technical Specifications

Description
This institutional stem caster is assembled with stamped steel and zinc plated to resist corrosion. This stem caster uses a 3/8” diameter axle and the swivel raceway is held together by a 1/2” diameter rivet. This stem caster’s swivel bearing is held together by two ball bearings rotating on hardened raceways. Stem caster Model 3 is completed with a dust cap to cover the swivel bearing which protects the raceway. If you are going to put more than 1,000 lbs of weight on four stem casters of this size, please consult with us.
Soft gray rubber wheels like the “RF” caster wheel are non-marking rubber tires that are injection molded to an industrial plastic center. The axle diameter of this caster wheel is ⅜” and the width of the wheel is 1-¼”.This caster wheel has a durometer of 90-95 A which assists in vibration and noise dampening. This gray soft rubber caster wheel is assembled with a sealed precision ball bearing that is further guarded by two plastic spanner bushings which also act as thread guards, rotating against the axle and further protecting the bearing from direct water or chemical exposure. If your application is moved infrequently and has a high capacity, injection molded caster wheels such as this are not the best choice.
