These industrial pneumatic casters feature air filled pneumatic wheels. These industrial casters are designed for low speed manually moved applications only. Air filled pneumatic wheels provide a cushioned ride, shock absorption and quiet operation. The addition of molybdenum in 316 stainless significantly improves resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, particularly critical in environments where chloride exposure is constant. This grade is widely specified in marine installations, chemical plants, food processing facilities, and pharmaceutical manufacturing where regular exposure to caustic cleaning agents and process chemicals would compromise 304 stainless steel’s integrity.

Caster City manufactures this 316 stainless steel caster for washdowns and as-such it has no dust cap covering the swivel bearing. Utilizing a 1.25″ wide wheel design that provides optimal load distribution while maintaining maneuverability in tight spaces.
This swivel caster has a soft gray rubber wheel that is non-marking in nature and is bonded to a plastic center. This institutional caster wheel was designed to use a ⅜” axel and the tread width of the tire is 1-¼”.The durometer of this soft gray rubber caster wheel is 90-95A, making it ideal for vibration and noise reduction. This caster wheel has a sealed precision ball bearing protected with plastic spanner bushings that reduce the inner diameter of the axle, act as thread guards, and guard the bearing from indirect and direct moisture exposure. These caster wheels should not be left standing under load for extended periods as the tires may take a permanent “set” or develop flat spots.
