Description
DO NOT ORDER SWIVEL LOCK OR RACEWAY SEALS IF YOU ORDER THE TL – TOTAL LOCK BRAKE. THE TL BRAKE WILL NOT WORK WITH EITHER THE SWIVEL LOCK OR RACEWAY SEALS.
The Model 9 Swivel Caster is the most widely used industrial plate caster due to its affordable price point and extensive wheel options. Beneath the mounting plate are 2 rows of ball bearings running on heat treated raceways for smooth swiveling. A nut and bolt center pin is welded to endure standard abuse in hand pushed applications. The kingpin bolt is 5/8″ in diameter with 1/4″ thick legs welded inside and outside. The axle diameter is 1/2″, compatible with wheels that have a 2 7/16″ hub width. Constructed from stamped steel with zinc plated metal frames for corrosion resistance, this caster includes lubrication fittings for all moveable parts. A wide range of wheel brakes and swivel locks are available to suit most applications. Ideal for food processing plants, distribution centers, and assembly line equipment. Additional mounting plate sizes and bearing types can be supplied on request. A 304 Stainless Steel version is also offered for washdown and corrosive environments.
The PCI industrial caster wheel comes with a flexible polyurethane, crown tread tire which helps with efficiently changing directions while supporting heavy loads. This red polyurethane on iron caster wheel features a durable iron core for heavy-duty applications. The Durometer is 90A and the wheel offers a semi-cushioned ride and is flexible enough to climb over small debris, door jambs, expansion joints, and other obstacles. Polyurethane caster wheels roll easier under the same load as rubber wheels on a smooth floor. This caster wheel will protect your floors better than a metal wheel can. The PCI wheel excels in resisting grease, oil, cutting, chunking, and abrasive wear. This caster wheel comes with precision sealed ball bearings with top hat spanners or roller bearings. The bonding agent which holds the polyurethane tire to the iron core can be affected by exposure to some chemicals, impact, overloading, and the buildup of heat. The temperature range is -20°F to 180°F. Ideal for hospitals, laboratories, and food processing plants.
