Description
DO NOT ORDER SWIVEL LOCK OR RACEWAY SEALS IF YOU ORDER THE TL – TOTAL LOCK BRAKE. THE TL BRAKE WILL NOT WORK WITH EITHER THE SWIVEL LOCK OR RACEWAY SEALS.
Model 9 Plate Swivel Casters are the most popular industrial caster manufactured due to the low upfront cost and extensive selection of wheel types. Two rows of balls rotate on heat treated raceways under the mounting plate for consistent swivel operation. The welded nut and bolt center pin withstands standard abuse in manually operated equipment. The kingpin bolt is 5/8″ in diameter with legs 1/4″ thick, welded both inside and out. A 1/2″ diameter axle is sized for wheels with a 2 7/16″ hub width. This caster is constructed from stamped steel with zinc plated frames for rust protection. Lubrication fittings for all moveable parts are provided. Model 9 comes with a broad selection of wheel brakes and swivel locks for most applications. Ideal for poultry processing, seafood facilities, and produce packing operations. Other mounting plate sizes and bearing configurations are available on request. This caster can also be ordered in 304 Stainless Steel for wet or corrosive service.
Nylon caster wheels are an excellent choice for supporting heavy loads without using a metal wheel since they can not develop a flat spot. This solid wheel is injection molded from nylon 6 and is 100% washable, steam cleanable, and impervious to water. Nylon is an excellent wheel to choose when you must select a wheel that will resist chemicals, acids, bases, greases, oils, blood, salt, brine, and more. The nylon industrial caster wheel can withstand impact loads and shocks. This caster wheel offers high abrasion resistance and a hard tread with a slight crown that rolls very easily. The non-marking tread has a Durometer of 75D. This caster wheel can come equipped with Delrin bearings or plain bore. Ideal for food processing plants, packaging facilities, and wet environments.
