Description
Model L3 stem casters are constructed and assembled from zinc plated stamped steel. The hardened stem caster raceways have two ball bearings to assist with changing direction and to handle thrust loads. The swivel raceway of this caster is held together by a 1/2” diameter rivet and uses a 3/8” diameter axle. There is a metal dust cover shielding the swivel raceways from dirt and dust. We do not recommend you put more than 1,000lbs of weight on four of these stem casters.
This Heavy Duty, solid all polyurethane industrial caster wheel was developed for sanitary and washdown applications, and is capable of rolling indoors or outdoors. Caster City manufactures this (“AP”) blue all polyurethane wheel to come with delrin bearings, or a sealed precision ball bearing and all bearing options are available in stainless steel as well. The temperature range of this industrial caster wheel is -50°to 180° F and the durometer of the polyurethane is Shore 60D.
These wheels are non marking and non conductive. The absence of a metal center eliminates bond failure as a cause for wheel replacement. These caster wheels are especially suited for use with stainless steel casters in wet and corrosive applications. They are designed for use in Pharmaceutical Laboratories, Hospitals, and Food Processing Plants – wherever a clean sanitary design is desired. These wheels are not recommended for applications involving shock, overloading, abuse, obstructions, poor floors, or for storage (standing) loads. Hardness is 60 – 65 Durometer Shore D. Temperature range is -20° to 180° F.
These wheels are designed for use in a wet environment and they eliminate the possibility of tire separation.
