Black finished casters are designed with a semi-gloss black coating, not only enhancing their visual appeal but also providing protection against corrosion.

E-coat is an electrically applied paint coating. It is used as either a decorative or protective coating that enhances the appearance of parts while also protecting the surface of parts. Typical thickness is regulated to range between .0002” to .001” depending on the requirements.

Model 3 stem casters are constructed and assembled from zinc plated stamped steel.  This stem caster’s swivel bearing is held together by two ball bearings rotating on hardened raceways.  This institutional stem caster is a step up from most swivel casters of its price range since it uses a 3/8” axle bolt and it’s center pin steel rivet is ½” diameter.  There is a metal dust cover over the swivel bearings protecting the raceways.  Institutional stem casters with stem diameters of this size are not intended to hold more than 1,000 lbs on four of them.
