Description
Built for operations that require stainless steel casters with stem mounting and complete water drainage capability, the Economy Model K3 Stem Caster from Caster City uses 304 stainless stamped steel construction. This swivel caster inserts into equipment socket holes with threaded, grip ring, or expanding adapter stems. The swivel section has two rows of ball bearings on polished smooth raceways with an open configuration–no dust cap, no grease fitting–that prevents standing water after cleaning. A 1/2″ diameter rivet holds the swivel assembly and a 3/8″ diameter axle carries the wheel. Handles up to 350 lbs per caster depending on wheel and stem; recommended limit 1,000 lbs on a set of 4. NSF listed and RoHS compliant for hospital nutrition services, healthcare cafeteria equipment, and patient meal delivery carts.
Caster City’s Polyolefin Caster Wheels feature a one-piece solid sanitary design injection molded from thermoplastic polymers. Available in heavy duty flat tread or crown tread donut shaped. Cost-effective, lightweight, and excellent for wet and corrosive applications. Resistant to water, chemicals, solvents, acids, grease, oils, and gasoline. Bearing options: plain bore, sealed ball bearings, stainless steel precision sealed ball bearings, or Delrin bearings. Hardness of 65-70 Shore D provides floor protection, low noise, and easy cleaning. Cannot develop flat spots when parked for prolonged periods. The slightly crowned tread enhances rollability. Use above 32°F and below 180°F. Ideal for cleanrooms, medical facilities, and offices.
