Description

Model 9 Swivel Casters are the most frequently ordered industrial plate caster because of the affordable cost and large wheel selection. Beneath the mounting plate, 2 rows of ball bearings travel on heat treated raceways for consistent swivel operation. The nut and bolt center pin is welded to endure normal use in a manually moved application. The kingpin bolt measures 5/8″ in diameter and the legs are 1/4″ thick, welded on the inside and out. The axle diameter is 1/2″ and accepts wheels with a 2 7/16″ hub width. Constructed from stamped steel, the frames are zinc plated for rust resistance. All moveable parts have lubrication fittings. A broad selection of wheel brakes and swivel locks is available for most applications. Ideal for woodworking shops, plastics manufacturing, and chemical plants. Other mounting plate sizes and wheel bearing types are available on request. A 304 Stainless Steel construction is also available for corrosive or wet service.
The soft blue ergonomic rubber caster wheel is an excellent choice for light duty industrial applications where you need a high capacity rubber tire with high resilience. This injection molded soft blue rubber tire has had the carbon black removed from the rubber which makes it a non-marking caster wheel, suitable for applications such as a hospital. The tire is made of copolymer rubber with excellent elastic properties – what makes this elastomer special is its ability to bounce. Soft rubber provides more desirable operating characteristics than any other wheel material. These blue soft rubber wheels are non-marking, quiet, absorb shock (prolonging equipment life and protecting cargo), can roll over small objects, protect costly floor surfaces, and minimize vibration. They can be used on almost any dry factory floor. The “BL” blue ergonomic rubber industrial caster wheel comes with sealed ball bearings that are completed with top hat spanners. These caster wheels should not be left standing under load for extended periods as the tires may develop flat spots. Ideal for pharmaceutical laboratories, food service, and other institutional applications.
