Description
Model 9 Rigid Plate Caster is the matching plate caster for the Model 9 Swivel Caster. When pushing or pulling equipment manually with 4 swivel casters it can be hard to manage the direction of travel. Rigids assist in controlling equipment being moved in direct line travel. Equipment with rigid casters installed can not move sideways. These casters are usually placed at the opposite end of where the push handle is located. The leg thickness is 1/4″ and the axle is 1/2″ in diameter, designed to use wheels with a 2 7/16″ hub width. This caster is stamped steel construction. Rigids can carry heavier loads than swivel casters because they do not have an offset, but both rigid and swivel casters are shown with the same capacity on our website. Ideal for packaging lines, print shops, and textile manufacturing. Other plate sizes and bearing types are available on request. A 304 Stainless Steel version is also available for wet or corrosive service.
This blue all polyurethane caster wheel makes an excellent choice for institutional applications where sanitary conditions and washdowns are critical. This solid all polyurethane industrial caster wheel was developed for sanitary and washdown applications, and is capable of rolling indoors or outdoors. Solid polyurethane wheels are fantastic solutions for heavy wash-down and food grade environments. These wheels are non-marking and non-conductive. The solid polyurethane wheel provides a one piece molded solution which eliminates the issues of tread bond failures making them durable solutions for tough environments. Solid polyurethane wheels are highly resistant to oil, grease, water and most chemicals and solvents even up to 10% acidity. The “AP” blue all polyurethane industrial caster wheel is offered with a variety of bearing choices to suit your application, including roller bearings, Delrin bearings, plain bore. This industrial caster wheel comes with a durometer of Shore 60-65D and the temperature range is -20° to 180°F. These wheels are designed for use in a wet environment and they eliminate the possibility of tire separation. Ideal for food processing equipment, hospitals, pharmaceutical laboratories, and food service applications.
This caster is available in Stainless Steel Model 9. It is constructed from 304 SS. This is an excellent caster for wet or corrosive applications if your total weight exceeds 1000lbs. It comes with the same large selection of wheels, some of which are also NSF and ROHS compliant.
*This Plate Caster Model 9 contains the All Polyurethane With Roller Bearing in the Wheel.
