The SS-K3AMD Caster Series from Caster City is built for medical and lab environments where cleanliness and reliability are everything. Made entirely from S304 stainless steel and mechanically polished to a smooth, reflective finish (Ra under 0.4 μm), this caster fights off germs and makes cleaning a breeze, meeting tough NSF and RoHS standards. You can get it in 3, 4, 5, or 6 inch diameters (all 1.25 inches wide) with non-marking soft gray rubber or polyurethane on polyolefin wheels, each with thread guards and sealed hub bearings to keep things rolling smoothly and quietly without scuffing hospital or lab floors.
This series comes with Total Locking (TL) and Directional Lock (DL) options, both using all-304 stainless steel brake mechanisms for durability and resistance to harsh cleaning agents. The Total Locking brake locks both the wheel and swivel, making the caster a solid extension of the equipment leg, perfect for keeping surgical carts or lab tables steady during tasks like sample prep or equipment adjustments, so nothing shifts unexpectedly. The Directional Lock stops the swivel for straight-line steering, great for pushing heavy diagnostic gear down long hallways. With a standard mounting plate (2-3/8 by 3-5/8 inches, bolt holes 1-3/4 by 2-7/8 inches slotted to 3 inches) and a standard 3/8 inch axle, the SS-K3AMD fits right into medical setups, balancing old-school build quality with modern cleanliness needs.
