Description
Model 9 Swivel Casters are the most popular industrial plate caster available because of the low initial cost and wide assortment of wheel types. The swivel system has 2 rows of balls rotating on heat treated raceways beneath the mounting plate for consistent performance. A welded nut and bolt center pin resists normal abuse in manually operated applications. The kingpin bolt is 5/8″ in diameter and the 1/4″ thick legs are welded on the inside and out. A 1/2″ diameter axle is built to use wheels with a 2 7/16″ hub width. The stamped steel caster is zinc plated for rust resistance and includes lubrication fittings for all moveable parts. Model 9 offers a broad selection of wheel brakes and swivel locks for most applications. Ideal for water treatment plants, wastewater facilities, and environmental remediation equipment. Other mounting plate sizes and bearing types are available on request. This caster is also available in 304 Stainless Steel for wet or chemically aggressive applications.
This Polyolefin wheel is a solid one-piece injection molded wheel available in heavy duty flat tread or crown tread donut shaped configurations. Polyolefin is an industrial plastic material designed to resist chemicals, water, and mild acids. Bearing options include plain bore, sealed ball bearings, roller bearings, or Delrin bearings. This hard material requires a smooth floor surface. Non-marking wheel with low initial cost. Cannot develop flat spots when parked for prolonged periods. Impervious to sterilization processes. Use above 32°F and below 180°F; not for freezers or heat applications like rack washers. Ideal for supermarkets, warehouses, and manufacturing plants.
DO NOT ORDER SWIVEL LOCK OR RACEWAY SEALS IF YOU ORDER THE TL – TOTAL LOCK BRAKE. THE TL BRAKE WILL NOT WORK WITH EITHER THE SWIVEL LOCK OR RACEWAY SEALS.
