Description

This lazy susan turntable is customizable, featuring a fixed 4″ x 4 1/2″ mounting plate on the bottom. You can select your preferred top plate, and the capacity remains unchanged regardless of the top plate chosen.

This is a kingpinless swivel bearing.  The construction of the turntable swivel is held together by the row of ball bearings.

Overall Height : 1-9/16″

All turntables come with grease fittings.

Great for moving stages, zero-offset swiveling feats.

Kingpinless casters eliminate the kingpin, typically a 5/8″ diameter bolt used in traditional heavy duty industrial caster designs. In kingpin based casters, the load is transferred directly to the kingpin (which has a circumference of approximately 2 inches for a 5/8″ diameter bolt). Whereas in kingpinless casters, the swivel bearings distribute the load across the circumference of the diameter where the ball bearings rotate. These bearings operate within a precisely machined, hardened raceway. For context, our smallest kingpinless caster has a swivel bearing diameter of 2-3/8″ that offers a circumference over three times larger than that of a kingpin in a comparable caster size. This design built in our industrial casters spreads the force load more evenly across a broader surface area. This ultimately enables kingpinless casters to support over twice the real world weight with the same sized metal caster bracket, yoke, or fork.

FAQ

Lazy Susan Turntable FAQ

What is the size of the mounting plate on this lazy susan turntable?

The mounting plate on the bottom of the turntable is a fixed 4″ x 4.5″ size, designed to stay consistent no matter which top plate you choose.

Can I customize the top plate of the turntable?

Yes, you can select your preferred top plate. The capacity of the turntable stays the same regardless of the top plate you pick.

What makes the kingpinless swivel bearing different from a traditional kingpin caster?

Traditional kingpin casters use a kingpin bolt or rivet to connect the top plate, bearing raceway, and yoke, which holds the wheel. This design has drawbacks: the kingpin is a point of stress concentration, risking failure under heavy loads or impacts; it can loosen over time, reducing stability; and with repeated impacts, the bolt can stretch, causing the ball bearings to fall out of the raceway. In contrast, the kingpinless design eliminates the center bolt, using a row of ball bearings in a precisely machined, hardened raceway to connect the top plate to the yoke. This spreads industrial forces over a much larger area, greatly increasing resistance to abuse compared to traditional kingpin casters.

How does the kingpinless design handle weight compared to traditional casters?

The kingpinless swivel bearing distributes the load across a larger surface area, allowing it to support over twice the real-world weight of a traditional kingpin caster with the same-sized metal bracket, yoke, or fork.

Does the turntable come with maintenance features?

Yes, all our turntables include grease fittings to keep the swivel mechanism running smoothly.

What are the best uses for this lazy susan turntable?

It’s great for moving stages, rotational positioning to machinery and equipment, or any application requiring zero-offset swiveling, thanks to its robust kingpinless design.
