Description

This sku is for the extra-wide 1-3/8″ V-Groove Wheel with a Roller Bearing as standard in the wheel.

Width of Groove : 1-3/8″

Depth of Groove: 11/16″

Caster City’s v-groove caster wheels are built to steer equipment along inverted angle iron tracks, offering a wide range designed to tackle everything from dodging debris fields to handling repetitive manufacturing paths with ease. Even when they’re off the track, we’ve made sure there’s plenty of tread on each side of the v-groove so they roll just fine on smooth surfaces too. Every one of our v-groove industrial caster wheels—and all our steel wheels, for that matter—comes with a lubrication fitting in the hub to keep things moving smoothly. You’ve got options with these, too: pick between roller bearings, precision sealed ball bearings, or tapered roller bearings, whatever your setup calls for. We craft these wheels from forged steel and ductile steel in 2”, 3”, and 4” widths, with diameters starting at 6” and going up to 12”, and their temperature range matches typical steel wheels, depending on the material we use.

Model 50 rigid and the matching swivel casters have the same wheels displayed on Plate Model 30. The weight capacity ratings in Model 50 are usually greater for the exact wheels shown in Caster Model 30. The heavier and bigger mounting plate on Model 50, larger swivel bearing, and heavier legs are the reasons for the greater load capacity ratings shown on rigid model 50. Rigids are mostly used to control the direction when moving equipment in a direct line. The one exception are rigid plate casters which have v-groove wheels. V-groove wheels rotate on an inverted angle iron track which controls the line of travel. When swivel and rigid casters are on the same piece of machinery, swivel casters should be connected below the push handle, and rigid casters should be attached to the opposite end of where the push handle is located. Rigid casters can not move sideways. They require equipment to be maneuvered into place. Our recommendation is you use 4 swivel casters when maximum mobility is required in a confined work environment.
