Description
DO NOT ORDER SWIVEL LOCK OR RACEWAY SEALS IF YOU ORDER THE TL – TOTAL LOCK BRAKE. THE TL BRAKE WILL NOT WORK WITH EITHER THE SWIVEL LOCK OR RACEWAY SEALS.
Model 9 Plate Swivel Casters are the most common industrial caster in use today because of the low initial cost and broad wheel selection. The swivel section features 2 rows of balls that rotate on heat treated raceways underneath the mounting plate. The center pin is a nut and bolt design, welded to handle normal abuse in manually operated applications. Kingpin bolt diameter measures 5/8″ and legs are 1/4″ thick, welded on both the inside and outside. A 1/2″ diameter axle accommodates wheels with a 2 7/16″ hub width. The caster frame is stamped steel with a zinc plated finish for rust protection. Lubrication fittings are provided for all moveable parts. Model 9 comes with a broad selection of wheel brakes and swivel locks for most applications. Ideal for automotive plants, job shop carts, and maintenance equipment. Other mounting plate sizes and wheel bearing types are available on request. This caster can also be ordered in 304 Stainless Steel construction.
This high capacity soft gray rubber caster wheel is a non-marking, injection-molded thermoplastic rubber tire with a 65A soft durometer, mechanically bonded to a polyolefin center. The RH wheel is ideal for wet and corrosive environments, such as food processing plants, pharmaceutical labs, hospitals, and cleanrooms, where stainless steel casters are used. Soft rubber provides more desirable operating characteristics than any other wheel material. These gray soft rubber wheels are non-marking, quiet, absorb shock (prolonging equipment life and protecting cargo), can roll over small objects, protect costly floor surfaces, and minimize vibration. These caster wheels provide a softer ride than polyurethane and yet withstand exposure to many chemicals and solvents. The High Capacity Soft Gray Rubber Caster Wheel has annular ball bearings to maximize its rated capacity. Bearing options include annular ball bearings, or Delrin bearings. The bonding agent which holds the rubber tire to its polyolefin center can be affected by exposure to some chemicals, impact, overloading, and the buildup of heat. Ideal for carts carrying sensitive equipment like medical devices, lab instruments, or food service items.
