Description
Model 30 Swivel Casters are a step up from swivel caster model G15 in that it features larger swivel and wheel bearings and wider wheels. The precision machined swivel provides superior performance on both manually moved and mechanically powered equipment. The metal frames are zinc plated for rust resistance, and there are lubrication fittings for all moveable parts. Popular options include a face contact wheel brake to lock the wheels and a hand operated swivel lock that converts a swivel caster into a rigid caster for direct line travel. Capacity up to 7,000 pounds per caster. Model 30 features a large swivel and wheel bearing which allows for heavy loads and more arduous service. Benefits include easier swiveling, reduced swivel vibration, and longer trouble free performance. Ideal for steel mill operations, foundry equipment, and die and mold transport. Caster City manufactures this caster and it is also available in 304 Stainless Steel as the SS-30 for wet or corrosive applications. Where loads are too heavy for floor protective wheels, or where unusually severe service factors are present, forged steel industrial caster wheels will do the job. Forged steel wheels have the highest ductility and tensile strength of any industrial caster wheel that we manufacture. Caster City drop forges this wheel from pre-heated carbon steel billets to provide uniform material thickness and maximum load bearing characteristics. We provide a lubrication fitting on all forged steel wheels for easy maintenance and longevity. Caster City counter bores each side of the hub and presses in 2 tapered roller bearings to offer maximum capacity and service life. Forged steel industrial caster wheels can be used up to 700°F depending upon the application. At continuous temperatures above 400°F, steel roller bearings and spanner bushings may begin to anneal – please consult our engineering department for further assistance. Forged steel industrial caster wheels will damage most factory floors while under heavy loads, and thus are generally used on steel plate, in channel, or as v-grooved wheels rolling on an inverted angle iron track. Ideal for steel mill operations, foundry equipment, and forging operations.
