Polyolefin caster wheels are injection molded from durable thermoplastic polymers to create a solid, sanitary, one piece design. Like nylon wheels, they perform well in wet and corrosive environments and resist most commonly encountered liquids. Standard polyolefin wheels have a lower load capacity and a narrower temperature range than nylon, except for our Extra High Capacity models (prefix RK). These wheels can become brittle in cold, dry spaces like refrigerated storerooms and should not be used in freezers or in heat applications above 180ยฐF during intermittent use. Fully food safe and NSF compliant options are also available, making them a strong choice for commercial kitchens, food processing plants, and any setting that requires strict sanitation standards.
Our Extra High Capacity Polyolefin Caster Wheels (prefix RK) are reinforced with glass fiber to boost both strength and temperature resistance. Their load capacity is similar to nylon wheels, and they maintain excellent performance in wet or corrosive applications. These wheels come equipped with either Non-Stainless Precision Sealed Ball Bearings (PS) or Stainless Precision Sealed Ball Bearings (SPS) for smooth, reliable operation.
Not recommended for use in solutions where acid content is higher than ten percent.
