Turntable – Top

logo July 23 2025

This turntable functions like a lazy susan. It consists of two mounting plates, one above and one below the swivel section. The ball bearings of the turntable rotate on a hardened raceway providing smooth turning and dependable operation. It has a lubrication fitting and is zinc plated for rust resistance. Some of the many applications for which turntables can be used include workstations, welding tables and dollies used in the theatrical industry to move scenery.

This is a kingpinless swivel bearing. The construction of the turntable swivel is held together by the row of ball bearings.

All turntables come with grease fittings. Great for moving stages, zero-offset swiveling feats.

Kingpinless casters eliminate the kingpin, typically a 5/8″ diameter bolt used in traditional heavy duty industrial caster designs. In kingpin based casters, the load is transferred directly to the kingpin (which has a circumference of approximately 2 inches for a 5/8″ diameter bolt). Whereas in kingpinless casters, the swivel bearings distribute the load across the circumference of the diameter where the ball bearings rotate. These bearings operate within a precisely machined, hardened raceway. For context, our smallest kingpinless caster has a swivel bearing diameter of 2-3/8″ that offers a circumference over three times larger than that of a kingpin in a comparable caster size. This design built in our industrial casters spreads the force load more evenly across a broader surface area. This ultimately enables kingpinless casters to support over twice the real world weight with the same sized metal caster bracket, yoke, or fork.

Select your preferred top plate to meet your specific needs or application and Caster City will attach it to the pre-assembled turntable with integrated raceway cup and mounting plate.
