Start by looking at how the current caster’s stem is held in place, since that identifies the style. Then measure diameter and length against the specific style’s requirements — a threaded stem needs thread pitch matched, an expanding stem needs the tube inside-diameter, and so on.
Any stem-mount caster purchase or replacement — stem mismatches are one of the most common fitment errors.
Ordering by stem name alone without measuring. Two casters both called “threaded stem” can still have different diameters or thread pitches — measure rather than assume.
