A plate mount caster attaches via a flat metal top plate with pre-drilled bolt holes, bolted directly to the underside of equipment — the most common mounting style for carts, machinery bases, and furniture with a flat mounting surface.
Plate sizes in the catalog range from 2-3/8″ x 2-3/8″ up to 8-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, and the bolt-hole pattern must match the equipment exactly. Spreading the mounting load across multiple bolts generally makes plate mounting more rigid than a single-point stem mount, especially for heavier loads.
Any equipment with a flat frame member to bolt into — the default choice for heavier carts, machinery bases, and industrial equipment.

Can I mount a bigger plate on smaller equipment?
Not safely without a matching bolt pattern — an oversized plate with mismatched holes won't seat correctly.
