These industrial pneumatic casters feature air filled pneumatic wheels. These industrial casters are designed for low speed manually moved applications only. Air filled pneumatic wheels provide a cushioned ride, shock absorption and quiet operation. Pneumatic casters are ideally suited for moving fragile or delicate cargo where caster overall height is not critical. Casters with pneumatic wheels are usually the best choice for use outdoors over rough surfaces ( i.e. gravel ) or on grass. Model 100 plate casters have a load capacity rating of up to 20,000 lbs with forged steel wheels, and up to 10,000 lbs with all of the other wheel types. Model 100 swivel casters have a precision machined swivel bearing which provides easier swiveling, reduced swivel vibration, and longer trouble free performance. Given the very high weights involved, Model 100 plate casters are moved primarily with mechanically powered equipment. Options include a cross bar welded between the legs for added strength against abuse, a face contact wheel brake to lock the wheel, and a swivel lock to convert a swivel caster into a rigid caster for straight line travel. There are lubrication fittings for all moveable parts, and the metal frames are zinc plated for rust resistance.
