Plate Caster Model 3 is made using a stamped steel construction and is bright zinc plated for corrosion resistance. The mounting plate is 2 3/8” x 3 5/8” and the hole pattern is slotted to: 1 3/4” x 2 7/8” – 3” and is designed to use a mounting bolt size of 5/16”. This plate caster uses a ⅜” diameter axle and the swivel caster is held together by a 1⁄2” diameter rivet. This institutional plate caster is constructed with two ball bearings on hardened raceways to ensure life of the caster. There is a metal dust cap protecting the swivel raceways to shield them from dirt and dust. Features wheels with 1-¼” and 1-1⁄2” tread widths. This Zinc Plated caster is NSF listed.

This caster comes standard with two high temperature white seals in the swivel bearing that has a temperature range of -20F to 450F. Also come with a grease fitting on the dust cover and axle, and buffed to a smooth reflective surface.

These caster wheels have blue, non-marking injection molded thermoplastic rubber tires mechanically and chemically bonded to a polyolefin ( industrial plastic ) center. These caster wheels provide a softer ride than polyurethane and yet withstand exposure to many chemicals and solvents. Soft rubber provides more desirable operating characteristics than any other wheel material. These gray soft rubber wheels are non-marking, quiet, absorb shock (prolonging equipment life and protecting cargo), can roll over small objects, protects costly floor surfaces, and minimizes vibration. They fall short of perfection in their limitation under load – they do not roll easily. Load capacity ratings do not take into account the effort required to manually move a load (drawbar pull measured in pounds). If cargo is to be moved manually on these gray soft rubber caster wheels, reduce capacity ratings by 50% and select the largest practical wheel diameter. These caster wheels should not be left standing under load for extended periods as the tires may take a permanent “set” or develop flat spots. They can be used on almost any dry factory floor. The bonding agent which holds the rubber tire to its polyolefin center can be affected by exposure to some chemicals, impact, overloading, and the buildup of heat.
