Description

The Model 3 Swivel Stem Caster from Caster City is a swivel caster constructed from stamped steel and bright zinc plated for corrosion resistance. Uses a stem mount that inserts into equipment socket holes. Grip ring, threaded, expanding adapter, and square and round metal stems are offered. Hardened raceways with two rows of ball bearings ensure smooth and consistent swivel action. The swivel raceways are covered by a metal dust cover that prevents dirt and dust contamination. The wheel is supported by a 3/8″ diameter bolt axle with lock nut and the swivel is assembled with a 1/2″ diameter rivet. Rated up to 350 lbs per caster depending on stem type. Uses 1-1/4″ wide wheels. Multiple wheel and brake options are offered. Ideal for pet grooming stations, kennel equipment, and animal care facility carts with tubular leg frames. NSF listed.

High Temperature Wheels with a prefix “NP” in the part number are made of nylon mixed with glass fiber. The high temperature caster wheel “NP” is designed for moist heat applications only. This wheel performs best in smokehouses, moist heat bakery and autoclave applications, and around water and steam such as pressurized steam-autoclaves. The High Temperature Glass-Filled Nylon wheel has a hard surface and should be used on smooth floor surfaces. The temperature range of these high temperature caster wheels is up to 425°F for 30 minutes MAXIMUM continuous operation. High Temperature Glass-Filled Nylon wheels are not recommended for dry heat applications because once the moisture content of the wheel gets to zero, the wheel will shatter. It is always best to shield High Temperature Wheels from a direct heat intake source. Caster City can furnish high temperature glass-filled nylon wheels in either a plain bore, with a straight roller bearing, or with an oilite bronze bearing sleeve for high temperature applications. Ideal for smokehouses, steam autoclaves, and moist heat bakery operations.
