This 304 stainless stamped steel swivel caster mounts into socket holes using threaded, grip ring, or expanding adapter stems. Polished smooth raceways with two rows of ball bearings support the swivel section while the open design without dust cap or grease fitting allows water to exit the bearing area after every cleaning. The 3/8″ diameter axle and 1/2″ diameter rivet create a secure swivel assembly. Up to 350 lbs per caster capacity depending on wheel and stem; 1,000 lbs max recommended per set of 4. This gray soft rubber caster wheel is assembled with a sealed precision ball bearing that is further guarded by two plastic spanner bushings which also act as thread guards, rotating against the axle and further protecting the bearing from direct water or chemical exposure. The bonding agent which holds the rubber tire to its polyolefin center can be affected by exposure to some chemicals, impact, overloading, and the buildup of heat.
