Description
Rigid Casters with phenolic wheels are selected with direct line travel is important. Usually, rigid wheels are sold with swivel casters but rigid casters are selected primarily to control the direction when the equipment is moved via hand powered.
The Model 9 Phenolic casters are the optimal solution for standing load as well as storage applications. The casters’ phenolic wheels can support loads as large as an iron wheel of the same size and the wheel’s hard composition ascertains the prevention of a flat spot. The highly durable wheels can even withstand imapcts of small obstructions and shock loads. In the case of excessive exposure to certain chemicals and water, phenolic wheels may become absorbent and therefore polyolefin wheels should be selected instead. With a Model 9 caster, the standard offered is roller bearing phenolic wheels.The phenolic wheels offer a commendable temperature range between -40°F to 250°F which can be extended to 300°F on intermittent usage.
