Description
Model 9 Rigid Plate Caster is the matching plate caster for the Model 9 Swivel Caster. When pushing or pulling equipment manually with 4 swivel casters it can be hard to manage the direction of travel. Rigids assist in controlling equipment being moved in direct line travel. Equipment with rigid casters installed can not move sideways. These casters are usually placed at the opposite end of where the push handle is located. The leg thickness is 1/4″ and the axle is 1/2″ in diameter, designed to use wheels with a 2 7/16″ hub width. This caster is stamped steel construction. Rigids can carry heavier loads than swivel casters because they do not have an offset, but both rigid and swivel casters are shown with the same capacity on our website. Ideal for packaging lines, print shops, and textile manufacturing. Other plate sizes and bearing types are available on request. A 304 Stainless Steel version is also available for wet or corrosive service.
The RH High Capacity Soft Gray Rubber Wheel is ideal for wet and corrosive environments, such as food processing plants, pharmaceutical labs, hospitals, and cleanrooms. This non-marking, injection-molded thermoplastic rubber tire is mechanically bonded to a polyolefin (industrial plastic) center. The 65A soft durometer delivers a quiet, shock-absorbing ride, protects floors and equipment, resists water and mild chemicals, and minimizes vibration. Soft rubber provides more desirable operating characteristics than any other wheel material. These gray soft rubber wheels are non-marking, quiet, can roll over small objects, and protect costly floor surfaces. These caster wheels are popular on equipment in pharmaceutical laboratories, hospitals, food service and other institutional applications. The High Capacity Soft Gray Rubber Caster Wheel comes with annular ball bearings, or Delrin bearings. They can be used in industrial applications which do not involve shock, overloading, abuse, obstructions, poor floors or storage (standing) loads. Ideal for carts carrying sensitive equipment like medical devices and lab instruments.
