Description

Model 3 Stem Caster by Caster City is a swivel caster made from stamped steel with a bright zinc plated finish for corrosion protection. This stem caster inserts into equipment socket holes instead of bolting on a plate. Available in grip ring, threaded, expanding adapter, or square and round metal stems. Two rows of ball bearings on hardened raceways provide smooth swivel performance. A metal dust cover keeps the swivel raceways free from dirt and dust. The 3/8″ diameter bolt axle with lock nut secures the wheel and a 1/2″ diameter rivet holds the swivel assembly in place. Load rated to 350 lbs per caster depending on stem type. Equipped with 1-1/4″ wide wheels. Multiple wheel and brake options are available. Ideal for dry cleaning facilities, laundromat equipment, and garment rack dollies with socket-type mounting. This caster is NSF listed.

Caster City manufactures the high temperature nylon wheel with a mix of glass fibers. Caster City has designed this high temperature caster wheel to be used in moist heat environments only. The glass filled nylon “NP” wheel is a hard, brittle wheel that should only be used on smooth flooring. This wheel performs best around water and steam such as pressurized steam-autoclaves, smokehouses, and moist heat bakery applications. Caster City has designed this caster wheel to have the following temperature range: up to 425°F for 30 minutes at continuous operation. The “NP” high temperature glass-filled nylon wheel is not recommended for dry heat applications – once the moisture content of the wheel gets to zero, the wheel will shatter. Rough floors or obstructions which impact these wheels will reduce the service life of the wheels. The “NP” high temperature caster wheel can come with a roller bearing, plain bore, or oil-impregnated sintered bronze bearing for high heat service. Ideal for food processing steam environments, moist heat autoclaves, and smokehouse operations.
