Description
Rigid Plate Caster Model 9 is the matching rigid caster for the Model 9 Swivel. When moving equipment by hand with 4 swivel casters it can be tough to control the direction you are pushing or pulling. Rigid casters help control the direction when equipment is moving in a straight line. Equipment with rigids can not move sideways. Rigid casters are typically attached at the opposite end from the push handle. The legs are 1/4″ thick and the axle is 1/2″ in diameter, built to accept wheels with a 2 7/16″ hub width. This caster is made from stamped steel. Rigid casters are able to carry more weight than swivel casters because there is no offset, but on our website both rigid and matching swivel casters are displayed with the same capacity. Ideal for food processing plants, distribution centers, and assembly line equipment. Additional mounting plate sizes and bearing types can be supplied on request. A 304 Stainless Steel version is also offered for washdown and corrosive environments.
The RH High Capacity Soft Gray Rubber Wheel excels with stainless steel casters, offering a stronger, higher-quality build than standard-duty gray rubber wheels. This non-marking, injection-molded thermoplastic rubber tire is mechanically bonded to a polyolefin (industrial plastic) center. The 65A soft durometer provides a quiet, shock-absorbing ride that protects floors and equipment. Soft rubber provides more desirable operating characteristics than any other wheel material. These gray soft rubber wheels are non-marking, quiet, absorb shock (prolonging equipment life and protecting cargo), can roll over small objects, protect costly floor surfaces, and minimize vibration. These caster wheels are popular on equipment in pharmaceutical laboratories, hospitals, food service and other institutional applications. The High Capacity Soft Gray Rubber Caster Wheel comes with annular ball bearings, or Delrin bearings. The bonding agent which holds the rubber tire to its polyolefin center can be affected by exposure to some chemicals, impact, overloading, and the buildup of heat. Ideal for pharmaceutical labs, hospitals, and food processing plants.
