Plate Caster Model 9 Rigid is the identical caster for the Plate Swivel Caster Model 9. When hand powering equipment supported by four swivel casters it can be strenuous to control the direction you are pulling or pushing. Rigid casters support in controlling equipment being moved in straight line travel. Equipment with both rigid casters can not move sideways. Rigids are usually installed at the opposite end of the push handle and contain 2 legs perpendicular to the mounting plate. Leg thickness is 1/4”. The axle diameter is 1/2” long and is designed to use wheels with a hub width of 2 7/16”. This caster is built from stamped steel. Rigid Casters can carry more load than swivels because they do not have an offset. Other mounting plate sizes and wheel bearing types are available on request.
