5″ All Polyurethane Wheel – Model G15 Rigid Caster

Model G15 Rigid Caster is the same plate caster for the G15 Swivel. When moving equipment manually supported by 4 swivel casters it can be hard to control the direction you are pushing or pulling. Rigids help in controlling machinery being moved in direct line travel. Equipment with two/both rigid casters can not move sideways. These type of casters are usually equipped at the opposite end of the push handle. They have 2 legs horizontal to the mounting plate. Leg thickness is 1/4”. The diameter axle is 1/2” and is built to use wheels with a hub width of 2 7/16”. This rigid caster is built from cold forged steel. Rigid Casters can carry more load than swivel casters because they do not have an offset. Nonetheless, on our website both rigid casters and same swivel casters are shown with the same load capacity. We have other mounting plate options available and wheel bearing types are available on request.

This solid all polyurethane industrial caster wheel was developed for sanitary and washdown applications, and is capable of rolling indoors or outdoors. The blue all polyurethane (“AP”) caster wheel is manufactured in 2” wide; with diameters ranging from 4”-8”. Caster City manufactures this (“AP”) blue all polyurethane wheel to come with a roller bearing, delrin bearings, or a sealed precision ball bearing.

These wheels are non marking and non conductive. The absence of a metal center eliminates bond failure as a cause for wheel replacement. These caster wheels are especially suited for use with stainless steel casters in wet and corrosive applications. They are designed for use in Pharmaceutical Laboratories, Hospitals, and Food Processing Plants – wherever a clean sanitary design is desired. These wheels are not recommended for applications involving shock, overloading, abuse, obstructions, poor floors, or for storage (standing) loads. Hardness is 60 – 65 Durometer Shore D. Temperature range is -20° to 180° F.

These wheels are designed for use in a wet environment and they eliminate the possibility of tire separation.

If a static load on this tire exceeds 60% of the rated capacity and is left unmoved for a prolonged period of time, the tire may develop a flat spot. Durometer : Shore D 60.
