Description
Caster City manufactures the Model L3 Institutional Stem Caster from stamped steel construction with a zinc plated finish for corrosion protection. This stem caster mounts into equipment socket holes instead of using a bolt-on plate. A 3/8″-16 x 1-1/2″ threaded stem or a 7/16″ x 1-3/8″ grip ring stem is offered. Two rows of ball bearings on hardened raceways provide smooth and consistent swivel action. A metal cover shields the swivel bearings from dirt and debris intrusion. The 3/8″ diameter axle bolt with lock nut secures the wheel. Up to 250 lbs per caster capacity. Features 1-1/4″ wide wheels. Multiple wheel options are available. Ideal for thrift store display racks, consignment shop fixtures, and resale merchandise carts with tubular frames.
This caster comes with a gray, non-marking, injection molded thermoplastic rubber tire mechanically bonded to a polyolefin center. These caster wheels are popular on equipment in pharmaceutical laboratories, hospitals, food service and other institutional applications. Soft rubber provides more desirable operating characteristics than any other wheel material. These gray soft rubber wheels are non-marking, quiet, absorb shock (prolonging equipment life and protecting cargo), can roll over small objects, protect costly floor surfaces, and minimize vibration. These caster wheels provide a softer ride than polyurethane and yet withstand exposure to many chemicals and solvents. The durometer of this soft gray rubber caster wheel is 90-95A, making it ideal for vibration and noise reduction. This caster wheel has a sealed precision ball bearing protected with plastic spanner bushings that reduce the inner diameter of the axle, act as thread guards, and guard the bearing from indirect and direct moisture exposure. The Soft Gray Rubber Caster Wheel has precision sealed ball bearings requiring no maintenance. These caster wheels should not be left standing under load for extended periods as the tires may take a permanent “set” or develop flat spots. Ideal for hospitals, pharmaceutical laboratories, and food service applications.
