For applications demanding stainless steel stem casters with excellent water drainage after washdowns, the Economy Model K3 Stem Caster from Caster City is purpose-built. This 304 stainless stamped steel caster includes a double ball bearing swivel section with polished smooth raceways and an open design–no dust cap, no grease fitting–allowing water to flow through and drain after every sanitation cycle. Mounts into equipment socket holes with threaded, grip ring, or expanding adapter stems. The 3/8″ diameter axle and 1/2″ diameter rivet provide a secure swivel assembly. Rated up to 350 lbs per caster depending on wheel and stem; recommended max 1,000 lbs on a set of 4. NSF listed and RoHS compliant for dairy processing, beverage production, and food packaging operations.
This blue all polyurethane caster wheel makes an excellent choice for institutional applications where sanitary conditions and washdowns are critical. Solid polyurethane wheels are a durable one piece mold design that eliminates bonding failure that you would normally experience in a polyurethane wheel that is normally bonded to a polyolefin core. These wheels are non-marking and non-conductive. Solid polyurethane wheels are highly resistant to oil, grease, water and most chemicals and solvents even up to 10% acidity. These wheels are designed for use in a wet environment and they eliminate the possibility of tire separation. The “AP” blue all polyurethane industrial caster wheel is offered with a variety of bearing choices to suit your application, including roller bearings, Delrin bearings, plain bore, and stainless steel options. This industrial caster wheel comes with a durometer of Shore 60-65D and the temperature range is -20° to 180°F. These wheels are not recommended for applications involving shock, overloading, abuse, obstructions, poor floors, or for storage (standing) loads. If your application calls for more than 500lbs per caster wheel, consider the gray all polyurethane “HU” caster wheel. Ideal for food processing equipment, hospitals, pharmaceutical laboratories, and food service applications.
