Description
4″ White Nylon Wheel. Ball Bearings in the Wheel.cTotal Locking Brake. Shown with 5″ wheel. Plate Caster K3A has a locking mechanism which simultaneously locks both the wheel and the swivelling action of the caster, enabling a secure footing and keeping the cargo stationary on a level surface. Plate Caster Model K3A is made using a stamped steel construction and is zinc plated. This plate caster uses a ⅜” diameter axle and the swivel caster raceway is held together by a ½” diameter rivet. This plate caster comes with two rows of ball bearings which makes changing direction and swiveling easier. There is a solid cover over the swivel raceways to shield them from dirt and dust. This plate caster performs best if you limit the load to no more than 1200 lbs on a set of 4 Model K3A casters.
Nylon Wheels from Caster City
Caster City’s Nylon Caster Wheels, injection molded from solid nylon 6, are an outstanding choice for supporting heavy loads without relying on metal wheels, delivering high capacity comparable to most metal wheels while remaining lightweight and floor-friendly. Available in 1-¼” or 2” tread widths and diameters ranging from 3” to 8”, these wheels are 100% washable, steam cleanable, and impervious to water, with exceptional resistance to organic solvents, chemicals, acids, bases, greases, oils, blood, salt, brine, and cleaning solutions. Their non-marking, hard 75D durometer tread with a slight crown ensures smooth rolling, making them ideal for wet environments like food processing and packaging plants where hygiene and chemical resistance are paramount.
These nylon industrial caster wheels are engineered for durability, offering excellent resistance to shocks and impact loads, along with superior abrasion resistance and toughness. They do not develop flat spots, even under prolonged static loads, ensuring reliable performance in demanding applications. The wheels absorb moisture, making them well-suited for wet environments without compromising structural integrity. With versatile bearing options, including plain bore, precision sealed ball bearings, roller bearings, stainless steel ball bearings, stainless steel roller bearings, or Delrin bearings, these wheels can be customized for optimal performance across various industrial settings.
Nylon Caster Wheels provide an ideal combination of high load capacity, chemical resistance, and floor protection, making them a top choice for industries such as manufacturing, food processing, and environments exposed to corrosive substances. Their ability to handle heavy loads, impacts, and harsh conditions while remaining lightweight and easy to maneuver distinguishes them as a versatile solution.
