5″ Phenolic Wheel. Size shown in photo is 6 x 2. G15 Stainless Steel swivel caster is the beginning of our kingpinless design plate casters for corrosive applications. It’s precision machined swivel bearing contains a combination load and thrust bearing which enables easier swiveling and reduced swivel vibration. This stainless steel caster uses 2” wide wheels that come with a variety of bearing choices to suit your application. This Stainless Steel caster has an electrolytic finishing for smoothness and polishing. This stainless steel swivel caster is intended for manually operated applications only, please consult with us if powered equipment is to be used. The head of the axle bolt and the swivel bearing both have grease fittings standard. The mounting plate and legs of the caster are ¼” thick 304 stainless steel. This caster is ROHS and NSF compliant. Phenolic caster wheels make an excellent, low cost choice for supporting high standing loads that move infrequently. This caster wheel can handle the impacts of small obstructions and shock loads, as well as being unable to develop flat spots if left immobile with a high static load. Phenolic can absorb water and other chemicals if excessive exposure occurs. Phenolic caster wheels come standard with a roller bearing and have precision sealed ball bearings as an option. Phenolic wheels begin with 3” in diameter and are available for diameters up to 18”. All phenolic wheels have a Durometer of Shore D 90 and the temperature range is -40° to +250° F. For enhanced performance, a laminated unmacerated tread option provides 25% more capacity and greater chip resistance, though the wheel material may chip or cut from contact with steel plates or rough surfaces. With a temperature range of -40°F to +250°F, and intermittent use up to 300°F, these wheels are built for durability in dry environments where they excel in supporting heavy static loads.

While Phenolic Caster Wheels are tough and versatile, they are not suitable for wet applications or environments with excessive exposure to water, oil, or chemicals, as they can slowly absorb these substances and fail over time.
