These industrial pneumatic casters feature air filled pneumatic wheels. These industrial casters are designed for low speed manually moved applications only. Air filled pneumatic wheels provide a cushioned ride, shock absorption and quiet operation. Casters with pneumatic wheels are usually the best choice for use outdoors over rough surfaces ( i.e. gravel ) or on grass. It’s precision machined swivel bearing contains a combination load and thrust bearing which enables easier swiveling and reduced swivel vibration. This stainless steel caster uses 2” wide wheels that come with a variety of bearing choices to suit your application. This Stainless Steel caster has an electrolytic finishing for smoothness and polishing. This stainless steel swivel caster is intended for manually operated applications only, please consult with us if powered equipment is to be used. The head of the axle bolt and the swivel bearing both have grease fittings standard. The mounting plate and legs of the caster are ¼” thick 304 stainless steel. This caster is ROHS and NSF compliant. If your application requires a stainless steel caster with more capacity than Stainless Steel Caster Model G15, please consult with us for better choices.
Phenolic caster wheels make an excellent, low cost choice for supporting high standing loads that move infrequently. This caster wheel can handle the impacts of small obstructions and shock loads, as well as being unable to develop flat spots if left immobile with a high static load. Phenolic can absorb water and other chemicals if excessive exposure occurs. Phenolic caster wheels come standard with a roller bearing and have precision sealed ball bearings as an option. Phenolic wheels begin with 3” in diameter and are available for diameters up to 18”. All phenolic wheels have a Durometer of Shore D 90 and the temperature range is -40° to +250° F. Our Phenolic Caster Wheels, made from macerated canvas mixed with phenolic resin and molded under high pressure and temperature are a cost-effective, hard-composition, non-marking solution ideal for supporting heavy stationary loads that move infrequently. With a hardness comparable to polished maple flooring and a Durometer of Shore D 90, these wheels are designed to handle large loads comparable to metal wheels without developing flat spots, even when parked for prolonged periods under load. Available in diameters from 3” to 18” and widths from 1-¼” to 4”, they come standard with roller bearings or optional precision sealed ball bearings, making them perfect for smooth concrete surfaces in industrial settings like warehouses or manufacturing facilities.
These phenolic caster wheels are highly resistant to oil, grease, gasoline, and mild acids, and can withstand shock loads and impacts from small obstructions. They are recommended for storage loads without permanent set and offer slight floor wear, except on already deteriorating surfaces. For enhanced performance, a laminated unmacerated tread option provides 25% more capacity and greater chip resistance, though the wheel material may chip or cut from contact with steel plates or rough surfaces. With a temperature range of -40°F to +250°F, and intermittent use up to 300°F, these wheels are built for durability in dry environments where they excel in supporting heavy static loads.
While Phenolic Caster Wheels are tough and versatile, they are not suitable for wet applications or environments with excessive exposure to water, oil, or chemicals, as they can slowly absorb these substances and fail over time. For applications involving routine moisture or strong acids and alkaline solutions, consider alternative wheel materials.
