5″ Gray Soft Rubber Wheel.Brake Locks both the Swivel and Wheel. This Total Locking Stainless Caster Model 3A is our stainless steel total locking institutional caster which uses the same Model 3 1-¼” wide wheels. This stainless steel plate caster is formed from 304 stainless stamped steel. This plate caster uses a ⅜” diameter axle and the swivel caster raceway is held together by a ½” diameter rivet. Plate Caster Model 3A  caster brackets have two rows of ball bearings rotating on raceways for smoother swiveling. There is a solid cover over the swivel raceways to shield them from dirt and dust. This plate caster performs best if you limit the load to no more than 1200 lbs on a set of 4 Model 3A casters. The Total Locking Stainless Caster Model 3A is excellent for medical equipment.

Soft gray rubber wheels like the “RF” caster wheel are non-marking rubber tires that are injection molded to an industrial plastic center. This institutional caster wheel was designed to use a ⅜” axel and the tread width of the tire is 1-¼”.The durometer of this soft gray rubber caster wheel is 90-95A, making it ideal for vibration and noise reduction. This caster wheel has a sealed precision ball bearing protected with plastic spanner bushings that reduce the inner diameter of the axle, act as thread guards, and guard the bearing from indirect and direct moisture exposure. These caster wheels should not be left standing under load for extended periods as the tires may take a permanent “set” or develop flat spots.
