5″ Welded Disc Polyurethane Wheel.  Plain Swivel (no brake). This Total Lock Stainless Steel plate swivel 3A caster is our stainless steel total locking light duty industrial caster which uses the same 1-¼” wide wheels as our standard Model 3. This caster is made using a stamped steel construction. This plate caster uses a ⅜” diameter axle and the swivel caster raceway is held together by a ½” diameter rivet. This caster’s swivel bearing consists of two ball bearings to assist with changing direction and to handle thrust loads. There is a solid cover over the swivel raceways to shield them from dirt and dust. This plate caster performs best if you limit the load to no more than 1200 lbs on a set of 4 Model 3A casters. The Total Locking Stainless Caster Model 3A is excellent for hospitals and laboratories.

Caster City has designed the welded disc polyurethane caster wheels with stainless steel discs, and the liquid caster tire is permanently set between the discs. The welded disc caster wheel comes with stainless steel annular ball bearings which are designed roll on a ⅜” diameter axle. The stainless steel welded disc polyurethane wheel is popular in the laboratory industry due to its attractive appearance and ability to withstand harsh washdown conditions. Caster City has designed this wheel to come in either 4” or 5” diameters and the tire is 1-¼” wide. The durometer of this polyurethane wheel is 95A(+/-5) and the temperature range of the stainless steel disc wheel is -40°F to +180°F.
