Description
Model 50 Swivel Casters utilize the same wheels shown in the model 30 plate caster. However, the model 50 plate caster has a bigger mounting plate and thicker legs. This allows for excessive loads and more laborious service. The precision machined swivel provides unmatched performance on both hand operated and mechanically powered machinery. Ideal for automotive assembly lines, foundry equipment, heavy machinery moving, and aircraft maintenance stands. Popular options include a face contact brake to latch the wheels and a hand operated swivel lock that converts the swivel caster into a rigid caster for direct line travel. There are greasing fittings for all adjustable parts, and the metal frames are zinc plated for rust protection.
Gray Iron V-groove caster wheels guide equipment by rolling on inverted angle iron track. Elevated track minimizes problems caused by floor debris, and the relief groove at the base of the “V” equalizes the load on each face of the angle. For light duty track applications, Gray Iron V-groove wheels provide an economical solution. These black painted wheels are less expensive than Ductile steel V-groove wheels while still delivering reliable performance for appropriate applications. We here at Caster City provide a lubrication fitting on all Gray Iron wheels. Caster City offers V-groove wheels with a variety of bearing choices for optimal performance in different applications. These wheels are available with 7/8″ groove width for 1″ angle iron or 1-3/8″ groove depth for 1.5″ angle iron. It is important that if more than one track is used they are parallel, straight and level, otherwise V-groove wheels may bind or run up over the track. Ideal for greenhouse ventilation systems, light manufacturing lines, and storage facility tracks.
