5″ All Polyurethane. Shown in photo with 5″ wheels. Plate Caster SS K3A is designed as our “economy” line of stainless steel casters. Stainless steel casters are perfect for use in a corrosive or wet settings. This is a light duty caster that has been built for hand powered use only. This plate caster is capable of up to 300lbs of weight per caster with the right wheel selected. The swivel bearing is constructed of a double ball raceway which enables the caster to swivel more easily and change directions. The rigid and swivel caster are constructed from stamped 304 stainless steel. The swivel caster contains a center pin that uses a ½” stainless steel rivet The axle diameter is a 3/8” bolt with a latching nut. You can order an stainless steel lube axle which offers a lubricated fitting in the bolt head to grease the wheel. This caster also has a mirror finish available upon request. You can get a large selection of wheels. They are NSF and ROHS compliant. The mounting plate is 2 3/8” x 3 5/8” and the hole pattern is slotted to: 1 3/4” x 2 7/8” – 3” and is designed to use a mounting bolt size of 5/16”. The reason this caster is considered “economy” is lacks the metal shield covering the swivel bearing. K3A Casters also does not come with a lubricated fitting in the swivel bearing. These features are not necessarily negative depending on the application. The shield over the swivel bearing can retain water from a wash down which can produce filthy conditions, depending on the use. This caster is ideal for washdown applications such as an animal lab or butcher table. This solid all polyurethane industrial caster wheel was developed for sanitary and washdown applications, and is capable of rolling indoors or outdoors. The blue all polyurethane (“AP”) caster wheel is manufactured in 1-¼” and 2” wide; with diameters ranging from 3”-5” and 4”-8”. Caster City manufactures this (“AP”) blue all polyurethane wheel to come with a roller bearing, delrin bearings, or a sealed precision ball bearing and all bearing options are available in stainless steel as well. The temperature range of this industrial caster wheel is -50°to 180° F and the durometer of the polyurethane is Shore 60D.

These wheels are non marking and non conductive. The absence of a metal center eliminates bond failure as a cause for wheel replacement. These caster wheels are especially suited for use with stainless steel casters in wet and corrosive applications. They are designed for use in Pharmaceutical Laboratories, Hospitals, and Food Processing Plants – wherever a clean sanitary design is desired. These wheels are not recommended for applications involving shock, overloading, abuse, obstructions, poor floors, or for storage (standing) loads. Hardness is 60 – 65 Durometer Shore D.
