This swivel caster is made from 304 stainless stamped steel and mounts into socket holes with threaded, grip ring, or expanding adapter stems. The double ball bearing swivel features polished smooth raceways and an open design–no dust cap, no grease fitting–allowing water to drain after every cleaning cycle. A 1/2″ diameter rivet holds the swivel assembly and a 3/8″ diameter axle supports the wheel. Handles up to 350 lbs per caster depending on wheel and stem; recommended max 1,000 lbs on a set of 4. NSF listed and RoHS compliant for baby food production, infant formula processing, and pediatric nutrition manufacturing.
This high capacity soft gray rubber caster wheel is a non-marking, injection-molded thermoplastic rubber tire with a 65A soft durometer, mechanically bonded to a polyolefin center. Soft rubber provides more desirable operating characteristics than any other wheel material. These gray soft rubber wheels are non-marking, quiet, absorb shock (prolonging equipment life and protecting cargo), can roll over small objects, protect costly floor surfaces, and minimize vibration. These caster wheels provide a softer ride than polyurethane and yet withstand exposure to many chemicals and solvents. The High Capacity Soft Gray Rubber Caster Wheel has annular ball bearings to maximize its rated capacity. Bearing options include annular ball bearings, 304 stainless steel annular ball bearings for superior corrosion resistance, or Delrin bearings. The bonding agent which holds the rubber tire to its polyolefin center can be affected by exposure to some chemicals, impact, overloading, and the buildup of heat.
