The Model 9 Swivel Caster is the best selling industrial plate caster because of the economical price and wide selection of available wheels. Beneath the mounting plate, 2 rows of ball bearings rotate on heat treated raceways to provide smooth swiveling action. The nut and bolt center pin is welded to resist typical abuse in hand operated applications. The kingpin bolt diameter measures 5/8″ and the legs are 1/4″ thick, welded on both the inside and outside. The 1/2″ diameter axle accommodates wheels with a 2 7/16″ hub width. Made from stamped steel, the metal frames are zinc plated for rust resistance. Lubrication fittings are provided for all moveable parts. A broad selection of wheel brakes and swivel locks is available for most applications. Ideal for plant maintenance carts, tool cribs, and die storage racks. Additional mounting plate sizes and wheel bearing types are available on request. This caster is also manufactured in 304 Stainless Steel for environments exposed to moisture or chemicals.

Semi-Pneumatic wheels have an extra thick solid soft rubber tire on an industrial plastic wheel center. The absence of air in the tire eliminates flat tire risk. Although less resilient than full pneumatics, semi-pneumatic wheels help reduce vibration and shock from non-smooth floor surfaces. Capacity is greater than full pneumatic wheels. Should not be used on sand or gravel but can be used on grass and other surfaces. All black soft rubber tires contain carbon black and can make black marks on floors if dragged. Footprint slightly less than full pneumatic. Ideal for applications needing higher capacity than pneumatic.
