Plate Caster Model 9 Swivel Casters are the industry standard for general purpose industrial applications due to their low initial cost and broad selection of wheel types. Under the mounting plate are 2 rows of balls rotating on heat treated raceways. The center pin is a welded nut and bolt configuration that handles normal abuse in manually moved applications. The kingpin bolt is 5/8″ in diameter with legs 1/4″ thick, welded inside and out. A 1/2″ axle is designed for wheels with a 2 7/16″ hub width. The caster is made from stamped steel with zinc plated frames for rust resistance and lubrication fittings for all moveable parts. Model 9 provides a broad selection of wheel brakes and swivel locks for most applications. Ideal for retail stockrooms, janitorial equipment, and shipping and receiving operations. Other mounting plate sizes and bearing types are available on request. A 304 Stainless Steel construction is also offered for wet and corrosive applications.

Semi-Pneumatic wheels feature an extra thick solid soft rubber tire on an industrial plastic wheel center. No air in the tire means no flat tire risk. Help reduce vibration and shock caused by non-smooth floor surfaces. Although less resilient than full pneumatics, capacity is greater than full pneumatic wheels. Should not be used on sand or gravel but can be used on grass and other surfaces. The footprint is slightly less than a full pneumatic. Black soft rubber tires contain carbon black and can mark floors if wheel is dragged instead of allowed to roll. Ideal for indoor and outdoor applications on grass.
